Getting Started
We will need to set a date for a K9 behavior assessment. See the three step process below. We want both you and your kanine to feel comfortable with our facility as this is an important step to ensure that your dog will have an enjoyable experience at Kamp Kanine. All dogs over the age of 6 months must be neutered/spayed (if neuter/spay at 6 months is an issue we have made exceptions on a case by case basis) and some form of topical or internally administrated flea control. We also have some breed restrictions. Once your dog has completed the evaluation, you can fill-out the forms on-line on the links provided below, or we will provide you with all of the forms and documents you will need to enroll your dog in day kamp.
- Complete the online evaluation request form and submit, or call us a live person will receive your details for your evaluation request and potentially set up an evaluation date now. If you get voicemail, we will call you back shortly. We will ask for your veterinarian details to confirm vaccination requirements or you may send an email [email protected] or pictures of your documentation to 760-207-5267.
- Schedule the evaluation. Kamp Kanine asks for a two hour minimum to evaluate your dog(s) suitability for daycare. Evaluations are done without the owner present to get a true personality and social skills assessment. Dogs being evaluated are placed with our select groups of dogs of like size, age, energy and temperament.
- Complete the evaluation, if approved to become a Kamp Kanine Kamper then you will be able to drop off and pick up at your dog(s) for daycare at your discretion.
Required Forms
After your dog has been evaluated by Kamp Kanine, you will need to complete the required forms to enroll your dog in kamp.
All of the document listed need to be filled-out and received by us prior to your dogs first day at kamp.
The vet form is to be filled-out by your veterinarian and all vaccinations and tests must be completed before your dogs first day. The fecal tests require a “negative” and “none seen” result so these will need to be performed and the results received before your dog can attend kamp.
Required Documents
Some of our forms are fillable and can be saved or printed. You will need to print each form, initial and sign them before submitting them to us.
The Vet Form can be forwarded to you vet to fill out online or printed and handed to them. Once all of the required vaccines and tests have been completed, your vet will need to sign and fax the form back to us with the supporting records.
